The New Zealand wine industry has achieved spectacular growth over the last 40 years, going from NZ£51 in exports in 1960 to NZ$1.2b in 2012. Outside wine, the New Zealand beverage sector is primarily focused on production for domestic consumption; however, exports are growing.

This report provides a summary of the sector, identifies horizons for growth, recent trends, major investments and profiles all the major firms in the industry.
