While New Zealand has a large and sustainably managed wild catch fishery, there is little likelihood of significant volume or throughput increases going forward. Aquaculture has huge theoretical growth potential for New Zealand, however this is unlikely to be realised in practice.

This report provides a summary of the sector, identifies horizons for growth, recent trends, major investments and profiles all the major firms in the industry.
